Our Severe Learning Difficulties Unit caters for children in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
At Castle Hill, our SLD Unit caters for children who are diagnosed with Severe Learning Disabilities.
We have adopted a 'Total Communication' environment offering many sensory learning opportunities, delivering learning that is regularly adapted to meet the needs of all pupils.
Teaching and learning is planned for using: the engagement model and pre-key stage standards.
The SLD Unit aims to prepare pupils for the next phase in their education.
