Castle Crew Wraparound Club
At Castle Hill, we offer wraparound care from 7.30 am until 6pm Monday-Friday
At our breakfast club, children are offered a healthy breakfast with play activities available once they have eaten breakfast.
From September 2026, we will be introducing a free breakfast club, as part of the governments' scheme, from 8am. There will be a £3 daily charge for care from 7:30-8am.
At our afterschool club, the children have a range of daily activities alongside a healthy snack and nutritious light tea.
Both clubs are run by school staff.
For both clubs, we accept childcare vouchers and universal credit vouchers and we are part of the government's tax-free childcare scheme.

Breakfast Club runs from 7:30am-8:30am daily.
Daily options include a range of cereals, toast, fruit and squash with alternative dietary options always available. Seasonal and special options, such as porridge with toppings and baked beans on toast are available during the colder months.
Costs are £3 from 7:30am or FREE after 8am. Breakfast is served until 8:15am and children must have arrived by this time to access the breakfast club.
Places must be booked via the FAMLY platform (including free 8am spaces) to ensure we have enough staffing and food available.

Please ensure you add all dietary requirements and any intolerances/allergies to the FAMLY platform even if already provided to the school.
After School Club
After School Club
Our after school club runs from the end of school until 6pm and is situated within our nursery classroom which is fully air conditioned and has its own outside space.
There are a variety of options for times for booking so the club is flexible to your family needs - see information below.
The provision is a 'home from home'. As well as activities, snack and meal times, children have opportunities to read to an adult, complete homework tasks or just relax.
Like the breakfast club, our after school club is staffed by familiar school staff, who are fully first aid, allergy and food preparation trained.
Places must be booked at least 24 hours in advance via the FAMLY platform. To access this, please email our after school club lead, Hayley Macken hmacken@castlehillprimary.org.uk

After School Club Staff
Mrs Macken is our wrap around care lead and has worked at Castle Hill for over 16 years. She is also our cover manager and First aid lead, so she is a very familiar face around the school. Mrs Macken works in breakfast and after school clubs on a daily basis, so she is always around if you need a chat.

Mrs Kirby works in after school club every night and is a valued member of our school inclusion team during the day. You will usually find her cooking dinner every night in the kitchen.

Miss Smith works at after school club 3 nights a week and is our schools Nurture Lead during the day. She is also a very familiar face with the children in school.

All our staff are paediatric first aid trained, have experience with SEN and hold the food hygiene and allergy certificates.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club from 7.30am- 8:30am £3 per child per session
We offer different types of cereal, porridge, toast with different toppings, yogurts and fruit. This is followed by activities and play with both inside and outside play options.
Breakfast Club from 8am-8.30am No Cost *but places must still be booked
Breakfast options as above. Breakfast is served until 8:15am (and children should have arrived by this time to access the club).
After School Club
After School Club until 4.15pm £6.50 per child per session
Your child will be taken to the after school club from their class where they can relax and have a healthy snack before playing.
Snacks include fruit, vegetables, crumpets, toast and crackers.
After School Club until 4.45pm £7.50 per child per session.
Your child will receive the above and will have access to doing a sporting activity, or one of the craft activities, limited time on the computer or just choosing as they wish. Please note this session only includes a light snack (not tea/meal).
After School Club until 5.15pm including a light meal £8.50 per child per session
Your child will have all of the above, but at 4.30pm we tidy up and get ourselves ready for tea where we all sit around the table together. A menu is available on the door, on a two week rolling basis showing what we will be having for tea each night. We always have 2 options available in case there is something your child doesn't like to eat. After dinner, we all help to tidy away and then it is homework and reading time for all children. Finally it's relaxation time until the children are collected where they can choose what they would like to do.
After School Club until 6pm including a light meal £10 per child per session
This includes all of the above and then from 5.30pm we have a chill time where the children can relax and play or have a choice of activity before being collected.

The children will also receive a dessert which can include cupcakes, fruit, yoghurts, angel delight, apple crumble.
On several occasions the children help to make their own desserts for tea.

You are able to use childcare vouchers to pay for wrap around care here at Castle Hill.
