Castle crew wrap around care at Castle Hill
At Castle hill we offer wrap around care from 7.30 am and from January 2026 will be offering after school club until 6pm.
The children can come down to us after school and feel like it's a home from home after a busy day at school. They can sit and chill or take part in activities before having a snack, after that they are able to choose from a selection of activities before dinner.
At dinner time we sit at the table all together and have a conversation about how their day has been or what they have been up to. After dinner they get the chance to catch up on homework, or we can listen to them read or they can choose a selected activity before home time.
Mrs Macken is our wrap around care lead and has worked at Castle Hill for over 16 years. She is also our cover manager and First aid lead, so she is a very familiar face around the school. Mrs Macken works in breakfast and after school clubs on a daily basis, so she is always around if you need a chat.

Mrs Kirby works in after school club every night and is a valued member of our school inclusion team during the day. You will usually find her cooking dinner every night in the kitchen.

Miss Smith works at after school club 3 nights a week and is our schools Nurture lead during the day. She is also a very familiar face with the children in school.

All our staff are Pediatric first aid trained, have experience with SEN and all hold the food hygiene and allergy certificates.
Breakfast
Breakfast served from 7.30am- 8am £5.50 per child per session
We offer different types of cereal, porridge, toast with different toppings, yogurts and fruit.
Stay and play 8am-8.30am £3 per child per session
Your child can be dropped off after 8am to stay and play with us before school starts. Please note this does not include breakfast .
After school
Until 4.15pm £6.50 per child per session.
Your child will be brought down to after school club where they can relax and have a healthy snack before playing.
Snacks include fruit, vegetables, crumpets, toast and crackers.
Until 4.45pm £7.50 per child per session.
Your child will receive the above and will have access to doing a sporting activity, or one of the craft activities, playing on the computer or just choosing as they wish. Please note this session does not include tea.
Until 5.15pm including tea £8.50 per child per session
Your child will have all of the above, but at 4.30pm we tidy up and get ourselves ready for tea where we all sit around the table together. A menu is available on the door, on a two week rolling basis showing what we will be having for tea on what night. We always have 2 options available in case there is something your child doesn't like to eat. After dinner we all help to tidy away and then it is homework and reading time for all children. Then it's relaxation time while they wait to be collected, they can choose what they would like to do.
Until 6pm £10 per child per session
This includes all of the above and then from 5.30pm we have a chill time where the children can relax and play what they want before being collected.
Themed nights
We also run themed nights once every 2 weeks at a discounted rate, this include: Cooking (Making biscuits or pizza), movie nights, craft events and much more.

The children will also receive a dessert which can include Cupcakes, fruit, yogurts, angel delight, apple crumble. On several occasions the children help to make their own desserts for tea.
Did you know that we accept childcare vouchers?
You are able to use childcare vouchers to pay for wrap around care here at Castle Hill. We accept Tax free credit vouchers and Universal credit vouchers.
