Curriculum Information

We offer a broad, balanced curriculum based on the EYFS Framework to support your child's development and prepare them to be ready for school.

Our approach focuses on the Prime Areas—the essential building blocks for learning, curiosity, and relationships:

• Communication and Language: Building confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding.

• Physical Development: Enhancing movement, coordination, and healthy habits.

• Personal, Social, and Emotional Development: Fostering self-regulation, empathy, and positive relationships.

We also integrate the Characteristics of Effective Learning, focusing on how children learn—through playing, exploring, active learning, and critical thinking.

We use ‘Paddling for Phonics’, the precursor to the accredited phonics scheme ‘Fishing for Phonics’ to develop key listening skills necessary for the beginnings of phonics teaching in Reception. 

Crucially, our staff tailor all experiences to the individual needs, interests, and stage of development of every child. We use this information to plan challenging, enjoyable activities that allow your child to thrive and reach their full potential.
