Facilities
Our building work to convert a classroom into the nursery is due for completion around mid-November. We will then be finishing furnishing the space ready for our first cohort in January 2026.
We are excited to have a brand new spacious and carefully designed learning environment for our nursery with designated areas and a range of high-quality, age-appropriate resources. This includes:
An air-conditioned indoor classroom, including a fully fitted kitchen for cooking or prepping food
A soft play room with a dedicated space to be physically active inside
A secure outdoor play area for children to use which is fully enclosed and safe
Partially covered canopy allowing for all-weather outdoor access
Large gross motor equipment outside so children can balance, jump and climb safely
Diverse surfaces including softer astro turf for physical play; space to ride bikes and scooters; and natural elements allowing for digging in the mud kitchen or planting etc.
In addition the children in the nursery will have access to engage with the wider school facilities at planned times across the week. This includes:
Forest Schools sessions with a Forest School trained specialist
Access to the castle climbing frame on the playground,
Visits to the school pond
The opportunity to do PE in the school halls with a range of different PE equipment
Access to the school trampoline area
Access to the school field for planned activities
Sensory sessions in the school’s sensory room
